What the government is going to give Montessori teachers
It is reported that the monthly allowance of Rs.2500 which is currently paid to pre-school teachers will be increased to Rs.5000 by 100%.
This is being implemented under the Guru Abhimani Program implemented by the Ministry of Women, Child Affairs and Social Empowerment.
Accordingly, this new allowance is to be given from June.
It is stated that Yamuna Perera, Secretary of the Ministry of Women's Child Affairs and Social Empowerment, has given instructions to give this allowance to all pre-school teachers in the island.
However, this has been informed through a circular to all those nine district and divisional secretaries.
