The Department of Meteorology says that some rain may occur in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle and Matara districts.
The department stated that mainly rainless weather can be expected in the rest of the island.
In the western slopes of the Central Hills and in the North, North Central and North Western Provinces and in the districts of Trincomalee, Monaragala and Hambantota, the winds are blowing at times per km. There is a possibility of strong winds around (50-55).
