A support from the United States of America to Sri Lanka-United States

A meeting between the Assistant Administrator of the Asia Bureau of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Michael Schiffer and the Minister of State for Finance Shehan Semasinghe has taken place at the Ministry of Finance.


 Accordingly, it is stated that the United States has agreed to provide additional financial support of 24.5 million dollars through a grant agreement between the United States Agency for International Development and the Government of Sri Lanka.


 It is intended to strengthen Sri Lanka's market-based growth, develop environmental sustainability and resilience, and promote good governance practices.
