A gazette notice has been issued regarding increasing the daily wages of plantation workers to 1,700 rupees.
Chairman of the Board of Pay Controller H.K.K.A. It is stated that this gazette announcement has been issued with the signature of Mr. Jayasundara.
It states that the daily wage of a tea plantation worker is 1,350, and in addition, an amount of 350 rupees is to be paid as a productivity-based gratuity, and the said salary is to be made subject to the payment of employees' provident fund and employees' trust fund.
