The National Dengue Control Unit says that the number of dengue cases reported in the country has exceeded the limit of 34,000 so far in 2024.
According to that, 34,053 dengue cases have been reported, out of which the largest number of dengue cases have been reported from Colombo district, which is 8201.
Considering the provinces of the island, the largest number of people have been reported from the Western Province and it is further stated that the number is 13,822.
