Today's weather in Sri Lanka
The Department of Meteorology says that some rains may occur in Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-Western provinces and in Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts.
The department stated that rain or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Uva province and Ampara and Batticaloa districts in the evening or at night.
In the western slopes of the central hills, in the northern, north-central and north-western provinces, and in the districts of Trincomalee, Hambantota and Monaragala, the wind is blowing at times per km. (40-50) strong winds are possible.
