Electricity and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera says that compared to revising electricity prices, the prices of goods and services in the market can be reduced by about 20%.
The minister mentioned that the business community is requested to provide relief to the people by reducing the prices of goods and services which are increased at midnight on the day of the power outage.
The minister further stated that the people who consume less than 90 units have received the most relief from the new electricity amendment.
