The Inspector General of Police has summoned the Government Press Officer and the Postmaster General to the Election Commission today [09] to discuss matters related to the presidential election in Sri Lanka.
Accordingly, the Chairman of the Election Commission R.M.A.L said that the relevant parties have been called to the Election Commission for the purpose of discussing the basic issues related to the presidential election. Mr. Ratnayake mentioned.
According to the constitution, the Election Commission will have the power to announce the presidential election after the 17th, and he hopes to discuss the basic issues related to holding the presidential election before then.
