Producers make unfair profit of Rs 25 per egg

 The egg trade association says that the producers get an unfair profit of 25 rupees from an egg.

 Accordingly, its chairman Anura Marasinghe said that it currently costs about 20 rupees to produce an egg.

 He further mentions that due to the wholesale price of an egg from the farms for the traders between 45-50 rupees, the price of an egg in the market has exceeded 50 rupees.
