The second phase of Aswasuma ends on July 31

 

The census related to the second phase of Aswasuma welfare program is scheduled to be completed by July 31.

 Jayantha Wijeratne, chairman of the welfare board, said that a call for applications was made last February for the families who failed to apply for this program in the first phase, and about 454,924 applications were received.

 He also mentioned that the census work related to those applications has already started.

 He further stated that at the district level, Nuwara Eliya and Badulla districts have submitted the highest number of applications, and the information collection for each application for the census is done through the IWMS software.
