Media norms also apply to social media - Election Commission

The Election Commission says that the media guidelines issued by the Election Commission are also applicable to social media.

 During the election period, the Deputy Election Commissioner Piumi Atigala stated that the social media should work according to these parameters during a press conference held today (09).

 She further mentioned that a media ethics gazette will be issued in the future.
