Today (10), the Department of Meteorology announces that there may be occasional rain or thundershowers in the Western Province, Galle and Matara districts.
It states that there may be scattered rain or thundershowers in the rest of the island during the evening or night.
Some parts of Western, Northern and Eastern Provinces received mm. Heavy rains above 50 are possible.
The Department of Meteorology requests the people to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
