Ranil promised not to pay his salary
Mr. Anura Kumara Dissanayake, the presidential candidate of the National People's Force, says that it will never be possible to provide the 4000 rupees fertilizer subsidy and the 25,000 rupees government employee salary increase that President Ranil Wickramasinghe is said to provide.
Addressing a public rally in Bandaragama, he said that there are 1.4 million government employees and if they increase their salaries by 25,000 each, an amount of 36 billion rupees will be required per month.
Mr. Anura Kumara Dissanayake mentioned that more than 400 billion per year is needed for that and Ranil Wickramasinghe will not increase his salary in January as promised.
