The Department of Meteorology says that in the next few days, atmospheric conditions are likely to occur in the island with thunderstorms expected to occur in the evening.
The department stated that rain or thundershowers may occur in many parts of the island in the evening or at night.
In Kalutara, Galle, Matara and Ratnapura districts, some rain may occur in the morning and some areas in Central, Sabaragamuwa, North and North Central provinces will receive mm. A high of 75 with a chance of heavy rain.
The Department of Meteorology requests the people to take necessary measures to minimize the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
