The Department of Meteorology says that some light rains may occur in Western, Sabaragamuwa, South and North-West provinces, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts today on the 24th.
It is said that there may be rain or thundershowers at a few places in the eastern and Uva provinces during the evening or night.
In North, North Central and North West Provinces and in Hambantota District from time to time per km. The Department of Meteorology states that strong winds of around 30-40 are possible.
The Department of Meteorology requests the people to take necessary measures to minimize the dangers caused by lightning and temporary strong winds that may occur with thunderstorms.
