The Department of Meteorology says that today (03) there may be rain from time to time in Sabaragamuwa province, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts.
Also, some rains may occur in Western and North-Western provinces, Galle, Matara and Matale districts.
It is stated in the announcement that rain or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the eastern and Uva provinces during the evening or night.
In the western slopes of the central hills, the wind blows from time to time per km. Strong winds of about 50 km/h are possible, and occasional winds in the rest of the island. The announcement further states that strong winds of 30-40 may occur
