President Ranil Wickremesinghe's decision to appoint three special committees as a preliminary preparation to deal with the situation in the Middle East if it escalates to a crisis is a very timely action, says Minister of Foreign Affairs and President's Attorney Ali Sabra.

The minister stated that although international activities cannot be controlled, it is not necessary to wait for a country to collapse as a reason, and stated that necessary steps have been taken to deal with any situation that may arise.

Minister Ali Sabra further stated that President Ranil Wickremesinghe's far-sighted decisions led to Sri Lanka not becoming another Venezuela and put it in an economically stable state, and therefore it is everyone's responsibility to leave aside party politics and support the President's program to build the country.

 The announcement is below.
