The Department of Meteorology says that rain may occur from time to time in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts.
In the rest of the island, rain or thundershowers may occur at places in the evening or at night, and some areas will receive mm. The department mentioned that heavy rains of more than 50 may occur.
The Department of Meteorology requests the people to take necessary measures to minimize the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
