Western, Sabaragamuwa and North Western provinces and Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts will experience occasional rain. In some areas in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, Matara, Galle, Nuwara Eliya and Puttalam districts, mm. Highs in the high 50s are possible.
The Department of Meteorology states that in Uva Province, Batticaloa and Ampara Districts, there may be some rain or thundershowers at a few places in the evening or at night.
In the western slopes of the Central Hills and in the North, North Central and North Western Provinces, Trincomalee and Hambantota Districts, the wind speed is at times per kmph. Wind gusts of 40-50 are possible.
The Department of Meteorology kindly requests the people to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
