Minister of State for Defense Pramitha Bandara Tennakoon has instructed the security chiefs to take all necessary steps to ensure the security of the entire country and conduct the upcoming presidential election without any hindrance.
It is stated that the Minister of State has given relevant instructions when the Ministerial Advisory Committee on Security Affairs met in Parliament this morning (26).
It is reported that Chief of Defense Staff General Shavendra Silva, Navy Commander Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera and a group of high-ranking officers of the three armed forces as well as the heads of the Ministry of Defense and its subordinate institutions have participated in this meeting.
