The Supreme Court has issued an interim restraining order preventing Deshbandu Tennakon from acting as the Inspector General of Police.
Accordingly, it is stated that the Supreme Court has issued this order allowing the hearing of 09 fundamental rights petitions submitted by several stakeholders requesting to issue an order nullifying the decision taken by the President to appoint Deshbandu Tennakoon as the Inspector General of Police.
