The Colombo High Court has today (22) ordered that Bodu Bala Sena Secretary General Reverend Galagoda Atte Nhanasara Thero, who is serving a four-year prison sentence, be released on bail in accordance with an order given by the Court of Appeal.
After the prison sentence, Nhanasara Thero had submitted a revision petition against it to the Court of Appeal, where the Court of Appeal had recently ordered that he be released on cash bail of 50,000 rupees and two sureties of 05 lakh rupees each.
According to the order of the Court of Appeal, he has been released on bail by the Colombo High Court judge today (22).
