The Department of Meteorology says that there is a possibility of occasional rain in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts.
The department mentioned that several rainy seasons may occur in the North-West Province and Matale District.
In the western slopes of the Central Hills and in the North, North Central and North Western Provinces and in Trincomalee, Monaragala and Hambantota districts, winds will occur at times per km. Strong winds of around (50-55) are possible.
In the rest of the island, the winds are blowing from time to time. It is further stated that strong winds of around (30-40) may occur.
