The Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Response Forum (SLCERT) says that a scam is operating to steal people's personal data posing as Facebook support groups.
Its Senior Information Security Engineer Waruka Damunugala said that complaints have been received in this regard in the last few days.
They send fake messages as a message sent by a Facebook support group that the Facebook account or Page of Facebook users has been temporarily suspended, and they inform that they have to give some money and personal information to recover those accounts or Pages. He also mentioned that he will be caught.
Therefore, even if your Facebook account or page is temporarily suspended, he said, do not respond to the messages.
