A fundamental rights petition has been submitted to the Supreme Court asking the President to issue an order to appoint an Acting Inspector General of Police.


 Accordingly, the lawyer R.S.P.  It is stated that Ranasuriya has submitted the relevant fundamental rights petition.


 It is further stated that Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe and the Attorney General have been named as the respondents.
