Mr. Anura Kumara Dissanayake, the leader of the National People's Force, says that by the year 2030, the annual export income of Sri Lanka's information technology sector will be 5 billion US dollars.

   Accordingly, the MP said that information technology is expected to be used in many fields, and plans have been prepared to improve the economy, make public service efficient, and create transparency in government transactions.


   He mentioned that the information technology policy of the National People's Power was announced yesterday (13) and considerable time was spent to prepare an important policy statement for the information technology sector in various areas in consultation with various groups.


   Mr. Anura Kumara Dissanayake mentioned that even though Smart Agriculture and Smart Classroom are being talked about today, the country has dirty politics and the political field should be cleaned before going digital.


   He mentioned that the jumping here and there is not based on policy issues, some jump to open the door to the next Parliament, and the transfers of some people are due to financial transactions, government land grants, bar licenses, petrol sheds.


   The leader of National People's Force, Mr. Anura Kumara Dissanayake further stated that even if the people of the country have changed governments for a long time, after the change of government, they will continue to change.
