The decision to give 1,700 rupees as the daily salary of estate workers has been passed today 12 in the Salary Control Council.
Water Supply and Plantation Infrastructure Minister Jeevan Thondaman stated that a poll was held there regarding the salary increase, and 14 people voted in favor of the salary increase and three plantation companies voted against it. An agreement has been reached to provide 1,350 rupees as basic salary and 350 rupees as attendance promotion special allowance.
