Sri Lanka Poduna Peramuna's presidential candidate Namal Rappaksha says that there was no plan from the beginning to contest the presidential election.
Speaking to the media today (07), he stated that his responsibility was to sew the suit for a suitable person, and he cannot forcefully put on the suit.
However, he further mentioned that the party made a request to him in a challenging situation and he accepted the request.
The presidential candidate Namal Rajappaksha further stated that the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna will become the first force in this year's presidential election, and those who left the party are also invited to join the party.
