The Department of Meteorology says that some rain may occur in Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-Western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
The department stated that rain or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Badulla, Ampara and Batticaloa districts during the evening or night.
In the rest of the regions, there is mainly rainless weather and in the North, North Central and North West Provinces, Hambantota and Trincomalee districts, the winds are blowing from time to time. Strong winds of.p.m 30-40 may occur.
The Department of Meteorology requests the people to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
